Mavis Tires & Brakes

I would not recommend this service to anyone. I read the reviews and thought it was a good service. In reality, it turned out to be below par. The manager was rude and didn't talk to me. He walked past and talked to the employees as if I wasn't there. They spent 40 minutes balancing two wheels, and I thought he would fall asleep and not finish the job. They refused to do the wheel alignment or wheel bearings. Even though they don't interfere with anything there. And there was a second curious incident with me. They forgot to install the oil filter. You can see oil streaks in the photo. I do not recommend this company at all. Although 80% of companies in Miami are like this. They balanced the wheels, but the steering wheel shakes at speed. I recently did a transaction here and was pleasantly surprised. I have mixed emotions about Mavis and tire kingdoms, but I think my experiences can be best reflected on the management in the locations. I travel alot so I can be anywhere in the country when I service my vehicles, especially in Florida. I had a great experience in DeLand once, that made me frequent Mavis...until they changed management and it went down hill. So low and behold, I am in Coconut Creek and I decide to give the Mavis there a try as I am on dire need of tires before heading back to DeLand and I run into a manager I had previously met and had great experiences before in Fort Lauderdale! I had a fantastic experience with Mavis Deerfield Beach. I called and spoke to the manager Scott who was extremely honest, knowledgeable and friendly and made an appointment. When I arrived I was greeted by the assistant manager Percy who was amazing. I received a great break job on my 1999 Ford Expedition at a great price. Scott , definitely had a face for the radio, lol.

The guys were all so kind and helpful! I don’t understand half of the car stuff, but they took the time to explain options and talk me through it. They helped find me discounts too. Percy was super helpful! My normal mechanic was out of town and they even took a video of something they noticed leaking so I could send it to my mechanic. Oil change pricing was great.

During our last two trips to Mavis tire in Deerfield Beach, Florida on Federal Highway I have dealt with both Tyler and Scott. Both have been fantastic, patient and professional. I had a quote for work to be done by the dealer, but I didn’t want to sit in their showroom for over an hour or have a courtesy van take me somewhere I didn’t wanna go. At Mavis in Deerfield Beach, I can be local; I could walk home or easily get a ride. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was 50% less for the exact same brake fluid flush than it would’ve been at the dealer. Can’t say enough great things about these guys.
