Mechanicsville Honda Service

I am new to Richmond and purchased a Honda just before moving here. It's always daunting finding a good mechanic, but I am very pleased with the service I got at Mechanicsville Honda. I went in for an oil change and an inspection sticker, and Andrew, my service advisor, fit me in even though I got lost and was late to my appointment. Andrew clearly explained to me the recall work I needed, as well as one overdue service item and some upcoming service items that will be due. I did not feel pressured at all and very much appreciate the educational approach vs. the hard sell approach some dealerships use. I also got my inspection done for free, which was an unexpected bonus! I look forward to becoming a long-term customer!

People working in this location are definitely do and providing their best service! Would be nice if Corporate reads this message and Honda Service add a "waiting list" or "cancelation list" service and where would be possible get text message about the earliest availability, instead calling back every day and checking for availability, it's bit annoying calling back listening all robot instructions and waiting answer from agent, and agent says no spot available, total waisting time. Nothing personal, we are living in high-tech world where time is important and corporates like Honda could efford to implement auto text response on waiting or cancelation list and rebook customers appointment automatically 😀

First time being here to get my vehicle serviced. I've made an appointment online two weeks in advance and specified that I will be needing cooling system service for 100k miles including the water pump and thermostat replaced as part of the visit. When I called the service department right after an online appointment one of the advisors that answered said parts should be in stock and not need to worry. When I pulled up and talked to the advisor on duty, they don't normally carry the water pump, etc and will need to be ordered and prepaid first. I do not understand then what was the point of making an appointment and putting the specific requests when the service department doesn't even carry the requested service in stock. They should at least contact me to pre-order the parts but al

I’ve been a customer at this Honda service center for the last 5 years and have consistently had great experiences. The staff are professionally trained and always treat customers with respect. They are upfront about which services your car actually needs. In fact, if you ask for a service that isn’t necessary at the moment, they’ll honestly tell you that it can wait another year, saving you money. State inspections are done free of charge, which is a big plus. The only area for improvement is the waiting area; the seats are a bit dated and not the most comfortable for extended waits. Overall, highly recommended for honest and professional service.

The service department here is absolutely horrible!!! My awd system problem light came on. The part was ordered and put on 2 days ago. I left for vacation to Florida yesterday. We made it as far as NC....light is back on!!! I called and had to leave a voice mail.....no call back!!! (Note: I bought this car last August with 30,000+ miles and I have had to take it in for issues 3 times) I am over this vehicle already ...... and the service department!!!!
