I went to Meineke on Thursday, March 5 because I had been experiencing a coolant leak for the past few weeks and had to refill my coolant about once a week. I arrived around 9:30 a.m. and had a coolant diagnostic done for $98. After the inspection, I was told I needed a new radiator and that I would also need to replace the thermostat in order to qualify for their warranty. If I didn’t replace the thermostat as well, the repair wouldn’t include a warranty. Originally, I was quoted just over $1,800 for the work. I mentioned I wasn’t sure about replacing the thermostat, and the employee said he could “give me a deal,” bringing the price down to about $1,550. Worth it for not hesitating to book an appointment on this car repair shop. I am a loyal subaru client, from car to their services. But subaru failed to diagnose my car’s concern. I had my car towed for a strange noise on the rear of my car, a very annoying sound that would irritate me while I drive. The advisors at subaru told me it was pretty nirmal on winter days especially that it was too cold. But I did not ignore it booked at Meineke same day I took out my car from Subaru Tomwoods because they told me nothing is wrong with my car and it is perfectly fine. Only at Meineke who figured out what is making the irritating squealing sound. There they found a rock stuck’lodged between the rotor and backing plate. And there you go, problem fixed!!! Absolutely overpriced. Part costs less than $50. Job took less than an hour, but charged $450. Absolutely ridiculous. Truthfully, I should have done the work myself instead of trusting a mechanic to have honorable and reasonable prices. Also this place pressures you into “financing” so they can make more money off of interest. Absolute scammers.

I really never go to anywhere but the dealership but decided to use a coupon on a whim. Meineke was very friendly, explained everything they were going to do and gave me an exact price up front. The technician was very thorough and inspected my car while I watched, he noted everything he saw and did the service very well. Although they offered a few additional services there was no high pressure sell. Being an older woman I always look for trustworthy businesses and our Meineke is that!!!
