Midcoast Auto

MidCoast Auto is a great shop! I trust these guys with my Mustang and my son’s Civic Type R. I have Powdered coated rims on the Mustang and Midcoast does not scratch them up when getting new tires. My son just got a winter tire package from Midcoast and it was cheaper than Tire Rack. They have done all kinds of work on all my cars. Only place I trust to take care of my cars and my kids cars.

My 2011 Mazda has been my old faithful for years now. I try my very best to take good care of it. Imagine the disappointment (and fear) when it suddenly stalled on a hill while I was driving. I thought buying a new car would be the best option, but after a referral, I also booked an appointment at Midcoast Auto. While I waited for the appointment date, I went to several different dealerships, but could not quite find a vehicle that felt like “mine”. Eventually, it came time for the appointment at Midcoast, I received a quote, approved the work and had my car back the very next day. I was a little hesitant about moving my Benz's service from a dealership to an independent shop, especially when the estimate was half of what the dealership wanted to charge for a battery replacement and oil change. The entire experience was great! I dropped off the car at 8am and it was ready by 4pm. JR called me personally to discuss everything he found during the inspection of my vehicle. What's nice is he found my brake rotors need work but he did not hard sell me on them, in fact he actually said it could wait until my next service when I'm also due for a tire rotation and it would be more economical. The final bill came within less than $10 of the estimate! Very reasonable pricing. The car feels like it's brand new and is working very well!

DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE: They do not want your business... I set up my FIRST appointment for a simple frost heater and rear bumper trim install, which I supplied both of the parts. I also wanted them to look at a few small things, all of which I was told could be done in a day no problem. I setup my appointment in advance and was told I was going to get a quote for the heater install, which I never received. I dropped off my car the night before, and they had the entire next day to work on it. I called the day of dropping it off, and was told the frost heater quote would be given as soon as they can look at my vehicle. I’ve never had a bad experience with Midcoast Auto. Since my first oil change several years ago with them, they’ve exclusively been my go-to shop for my auto maintenance AND repairs. I’d recommend Midcoast Auto in a heartbeat to anyone! Great service, very knowledgeable, and never felt as though l’d been “had”.
