Mission Automotive & Smog Check

I brought my Impala in for a safety inspection and was extremely disappointed with the experience. They claimed I need new front lower control arms because there was “play” in them — this is completely inaccurate. I recently had the bushings replaced by another mechanic, and everything was confirmed to be in good condition. They also said I need rear brakes and rotors based purely on some surface rust and the smooth contact area where the pads meet the rotors. There are no grooves, no abnormal wear, and no actual braking issues. It feels like they were looking for anything they could point at to justify extra work. On top of that, they tried to say my rear right tail light needed replacement and that my plate light wasn’t working properly. Both lights are fully functional with zero issue

Had an oil change done there when I got home parked in my driveway. A few hours later came out noticed 8 places of oil spots all over my concrete. I would not go there again. There’s so many better places to go and they lie about their price, what they have advertised
