Modern Automotive Body Shop (Geico)

This body shop, specifically Skylar who works there, went above and beyond for my beloved Honda Element. I live in an area with a high stray cat population and my car got some damages from them. I filed a claim with GEICO and was recommended this shop. The reviews kind of worried me, but I decided to go for it. I am very glad I did. I attached the before and after of the hood scratches on my car, and it feels like they literally put a brand new hood on. I had a few other inquiries about my car, and they gave me recommendations for them, and helped where able. Thank you Modern Automotive.

Let me start this by saying I was incredibly patient with this shop, and though the folks working here are nice people, being nice does not mean the business is run well. The first month they had my car a lot of time was spent waiting on parts, which is out of the shop’s control, so I understand that. That being said, I would rather take a 12 hour flight next to a screaming infant while a dentist pulls my teeth one by one, than deal with this shop again. On Jan 21 I dropped my vehicle off after a simple rear end collision, where my bumper needed to be replaced and hatch needed to be repaired. I was told twice by an estimator and manager “the car looks great and is ready to go”, only to show up and have a damaged bumper, a lift gate missing paint, damage that was just painted over (as if

They did great work on my vehicle but im still waiting on a return phone call from 2 years ago. I suppose I could have followed up too but ive grown accustomed to my issues that I still have with my car 😆 some of which the insurance company already paid to fix

My daughter was in an accident 6/16/25 resulting in a total loss. For almost a year she had been getting items for her new home for her birthday, Christmas, and Easter gifts. She took those from my basement on Sunday and then got into the accident Sunday night. There was not enough space in the vehicle that picked her up the night of the accident to take her starter-home items so she locked them into her car. When we arrived to clean out the car at Modern Body the car was empty. Well, except for a plunger. And 3 dog tennis balls. Everything else was gone. Pots, pans, bowls, silverware, cleaning supplies, laundry hamper, etc. The car was locked and windows intact. I will not recommend this site and will not leave a star. The 1 star given is because Google requires in order to post my review. I will say they did a good job with the body damage repair but that’s as far as the good goes. Upon picking up my vehicle I noticed that some items was missing. I saw the sign about not responsible for stolen items and get that but that doesn’t give you the right to take anything. I had to call back twice to report missing items. That was in May. Fast forward to almost two months later, getting some service done to the vehicle and the shop needs my wheel lock. I know where it’s at and always at but to my surprise it’s not.
