Driving my 87 VW Syncro down the west coast from Portland, OR for a surf trip and had this clicking sound coming from the right side that developed near Santa Cruz...not sure if it was a CV or wheel bearing. Modern Specialist got me into their shop the day after I called, put my van on the lift, talked me through the sounds and quickly diagnosed the wheel bearing and, due to the heat of the worn bearings, the CV that had the grease all burned out of it. They showed me the gnarled parts (new ones of which they had on hand) and replaced them quickly. Leo made me some hot water for tea and invited me to sit in their break room while they worked on the van. I was back on the road by noon! I took my glk 350 Mercedes, for an estimate price for two front, left & right axles. Ralf told me, 1,300 dollars for parts & labor. I took my car to another mechanic & he honestly told me, that my car did not have any front axles , it was just something that was loose , & I needed to replace my timing belt and a oil change , I ended up spending 220 dollars total & my car is running like brand new . Beware of this auto shop , they will try & swindle you out of your money 😠

After my bmw was sitting for 2 years during the pandemic there were a handful of problems that needed to be fixed. Ralf and Leo took their time diagnosing my car which took over a week. They didn’t charge me an outrageous price for my bmw based on all the stuff that needed fixing. Have been to them twice and am satisfied with their work. Trustworthy guys. Love their work.
