Muffler & Brake

Got my water pump replaced here because it was leaking, and they did an AMAZING job! My car runs great now, and it’s even more fuel efficient which wasn’t something I even realized was an issue. They really went above and beyond. Super friendly service, great prices, and honestly my car feels better than ever. Definitely recommend this place!!

My mechanic said I just needed a flex pipe. He doesn't do that. He sent me here. Never again. He even wrote them a note. M & B charged me for extra pipe that I didn't need. They could of done the job with just the flex pipe. The other pipes & my flanges were fine. A little rusty but solid. At least they didn't replace the catalytic converter. It would have been so much more. That is why 2 stars & not 1. The catalytic converter was solid just like the pipes & flanges. They give a good talk to make it more money. Maybe because I'm a woman. I'm sure if I was a man, they couldn't get away with it. I did understand what they did but shouldn't have according to my mechanic who I trust. Maybe 1 pipe cost $149 but the whole job was almost $600!!

Complete rip off over 900.00 for brakes. Recently went back for an issue I was having with my windshield wipers. My wipers had stopped working. I called ahead and explained what was happening. Was told to bring my car in so the5 could have a look at it. After zn hour of waiting. Yhe8tell me they didn't know what was wrong. They weren't sure if it was the motor or the switch causing the problem. So I asked how do you know which one to fix? They told me we'll start with one and then the other!! So you want me to pay parts and labor for something that may not need replacing?!?! I said no thanks,give me my car back please. Total lack of professionalisn. Called ahead asking if they could take a look at a broken detached muffler on my Honda Civic. The mount and coupling that mates the exhaust to the muffler was rotted and had broken off, so I called around noon asking if they had time to take a look, and the woman on the phone said no problem. I drove over and they had my exhaust fixed in under an hour for $200. A bit less costly than I was expecting, considering my Civic Si has a higher end exhaust, but luckily they were able to simply weld on a new flex coupling and exhaust hang. No need to replace anything, took under an hour. I’m grateful and very satisfied with the quick and pleasant service from this place! Would recommend! I had my exhaust system rust and become detached. I had to rehang it with use of metal hangers to drive it. I called up one my friends in the car world and he recommended Muffler and Brakes. The mechanics/technicians/receptionist were really top notch. Located on Church St. in New Bedford. I arrived late in the afternoon. The mechanic still went under the car and prepared a quote. The mechanic gave me two options. I had them remove and replace the tail pipe. This quote included a test drive (the repair of: muffler and pipe, hardware, rear tail pipe, spring bolt, and exhaust pipe flange). It took less than hour. I highly recommend them!!
