5 Stars I had my van's transmission replaced at Murphy's Auto Repairs in Spruce Pine, NC, and I couldn't be more satisfied! Nathan, the owner, was super friendly and made the whole process easy. He got my van repaired quickly and efficiently, and I really appreciated the great customer service. Highly recommend this shop for any auto repairs!

Installed UTV winch which required considerable modification to get it to fit. Careful and thorough.

We were far from home and experiencing transmission issues. I was very hesitant to take it to a shop without any knowledge of the mechanic(s) working there. After reading reviews on Google, I finally decided on Murphy's Auto Repair. They could have, very easily, taken advantage of my situation, but it was quite the opposite. They were honest, friendly and extremely helpful. If I didn't live 8 hours away, I would take my car to them, whenever I needed a repair.

I would say, that they are the best around on service and price ,great folks to deal with .

I can't say enough good things about Murphy's. Not even a week and a half after moving to Spruce Pine did my starter in my '96 Honda Civic bite the dust. We're car people in my family and always do the work ourselves as my dad has 30+ years of automotive repair experience. But having just moved, I had no real tools around to diagnose and replace the part. So, for the first time in my life, I had to call an auto shop. Murphy's came highly recommended by several neighbors so I gave them a call and explained the situation. They towed the car a few days later (which is no easy task considered that I live at the top of a very steep mountain in a neighborhood with narrow, twisty roads).
