NAPA Auto Parts

When looking for auto parts I always look to our local parts stores and I start with NAPA. My last purchase I started by checking online instead of driving around the county. I found the item that I was looking for was not in stock locally so I finished my purchase at the NAPA website. When my item arrived damaged, used, and missing parts (no wrapping, bags, or packing protection). I went to my local NAPA in Post Falls only to find they wouldn't handle the return since I made the purchase online. To make the situation worse, this purchase was a gift for someone else. I'm glad I didn't have it shipped directly to them. Our other local parts stores have handled returns from online purchases, no questions asked. If this had been an error on my part I might understand this practice. I was to

I spent $400 on parts. Rotors, pads, spark plugs, brake cleaner. The rear brake pads weren't correct & I had to go to Autozone to get the right ones. The Napa brand didn't even match the picture on the box. One is clearly thicker than the other. Couldn't return them bc I damaged the pads trying to fit a bigger thicker pad where it wasn't going to fit. I understand from NAPA perspective the pads were damaged but they sold me the wrong thing and didn't have another in stock, so I had to go to their competition in the end regardless. This lesson only cost me $40 thankfully.

Had to swap in a replacement rear drive shaft while in their parking lot during a cross country trip, with my cat in the truck. Made multiple trips inside for various items I needed. Everyone was extremely helpful and kind. Definitely added some levity to a stressful situation. On top of that they let me grab some leftover donuts as I wrapped up my driveshaft swap.

Donovan and Gabe were incredibly helpful and patient with me while I was doing my CV axles, I've had lots of trouble with other parts stores from my experience so I'm glad I found a store that's reliable. Thanks guys!

Napa in post falls and Hayden are top notch. The post falls store has really got an awesome new person, Paul. He is not new to automotive work. I had some issues that everyone in other stores had tried but emissions leaks are rough. I went to post falls Napa, he found the problems in 12 mins, only because I gave him the scenario for 8 mins, he was right, god bless him.
