Our Chevy Equinox started making a horrible noise while we were on vacation, five hours from home. Naylor's Auto Shop completely saved our week. I filled out their online form on Labor Day weekend and was relieved to get a call back ON Labor Day evening and they got us in first thing the next morning. When we arrived, Joe got in the car with us and drove it around just to hear the sound. After 20+ years of driving, I've never had a mechanic do that—it was so much better than trying to explain the sound myself. He immediately diagnosed a bad wheel bearing, explained the issue, and had it fixed up in less than 90 minutes. Beware! My daughter was using my Toyota 4Runner while visiting family in Hayward when she ran into a problem with a power steering fluid leak. I had her park the vehicle until she could bring it to Naylor’s for an inspection since I was not in the area at the time. Joe Naylor inspected the vehicle on 8/13/25 and confirmed with pictures that one of the power steering fluid transfer tubes on the steering rack was at fault. She brought the car straight back to where she was staying in the area and parked it. I was able to get over there this past Labor Day weekend only to discover that the Engine Undercover had not been reinstalled after Joe had inspected the vehicle. Took our old car in right away. We had a small repair done. My 80 yr old yelled “WHAT?” when he heard the repair bill. Not because the bill was high,but because the charge was so LOW Hard to find reasonable places of business nowadays. Thanks everyone! ps the receptionist is always sooooo patient with us seniors.
