★☆☆☆☆ I went to this shop looking for help and guidance regarding a Massachusetts inspection reject. I wasn’t asking for anything improper—just a professional review of the situation. They refused to get involved or even look at the paperwork. One comment that stood out to me was when I was told that he “wouldn’t risk his license for $20,” which I found unnecessary and unprofessional, especially since I never suggested anything wrong. I was simply looking for honest help. After visiting other shops, I found a garage that was willing to do the right thing and actually assist. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this place if you’re looking for support or professionalism.

The **<BEST SERVICE>** in New Bedford!! These guys are Fast, Affordable and best of all honest real down to earth people. I send my Family and Friends to this Mechanic because Neighborhood Auto CAN'T BE BEAT!!!

STAY AWAY…. Had an expired sticker for 3 years go to get the check engine light off get a call back about my light being on for evap codes and other problems I get a call for a price for 1400$ after the new sticker is on but then notices I’m leaking anti freeze and now my price is 1843…. After paying it only took 8 days for my light to come back on I bring it back and I get told it’s evap copes… the problem was never fixed just doing something to temporarily shut off my check engine light!

Very straight forward shop . Honest competitive pricing the owner gives no bs . Fixes it right tells you up front what u need . My kind of mechanic i now won't be going nowhere else

We've just moved into the area 5 weeks ago. I am born and bred New Englander, but have never lived in New Bedford, MA. With not having lived in Massachusetts for the past 20 years it's been a wonderful experience to have met such great people in such a short amount of time. Lori Nery a fabulous Realtor/Broker/Owner of Coastal Realty, has provided sooo many wonderful referrals for eye, dentist, doctors, hair, window cleaning, nails, handyman, and the brothers Gene and Steve from Neighborhood Auto. Neighborhood Auto has been around since 1946 and the place has the original character. I thoroughy enjoyed meeting the brothers. Both Gene and Steve were very informative, quite quick in providing an oil change, tire rotation, and checking to see if anything else might be going on with the car.
