Oakmont Livonia

Since new managers took over in July 2025, Oakmont has been charging $7 - 10 for each meal brought to ill residents in their rooms. No current residents signed a lease amendment for this additional $600 - 900 per month. Recently, Oakmont locked down for a week due to the MI flu epidemic. Several residents died here. Before they did, Michele White showed a fleeting moment of mercy by not changing the entire building for 3 meals per day. Residents who survived are seriously considering a move out of Oakmont. New management also changed 3rd party medical providers. A noticeable increase in head injuries has been noticed as a result. Fortunately, much better care is available nearby at Marycrest Manor. Oakmont Senior Living in Livonia is incredibly fortunate to have Jodi Reed on their team as Activity Director. Residents benefit daily from Jodi’s energy, creativity, and commitment. An integral role of the activity director is to set the tone of engagement in a community. Jodi goes above and beyond; her compassion and integrity to this work is exemplary in every way. Kudos for an outstanding demonstration of what’s possible in helping older adults achieve their best quality of life.

My mother moved to Oakmont Livonia 2-1/2 years ago. It is a wonderful place, always clean and beautifully decorated. We have been pleased from the moment we signed up. The staff is always responsive to my mothers needs. The Activities Director is amazing. She tailors the events to get everyone involved and is super friendly. It is obvious that she knows all her residents. The people at the desk are there for you from a hello to an emergency. It is so comforting to know the door is always staffed, we feel she is safe at Oakmont. My Mom has made friends with other residents and the staff treats her like a friend.
