Be aware. I had my oil changed and a day later I noticed an oil leak under my truck and it turns out they stripped the drain plug out so I took it back and they put in what I was told was a temporary plug. I was told to take it to a repair shop that they recommended and have it fixed permanently and they would pay for it. The Repair shop said due to the fact that it’s an aluminum oil pan It would have to be replaced to be done right, at the cost of approximately $1000. When I informed oil changes of this, they had me come back in and they inspected the temporary plug that they had put in and said that it would be fine. I also consulted another shop with mechanics that I know personally and trust and they told me the same thing, to do it right the pan needed to be replaced. This is what th
We’ve now had two frustrating experiences at this location. On our first visit, we were told they couldn’t open the hood. It occasionally sticks, but it’s easy to pop open. Instead of trying further, they sent us away. We stopped at another quick oil change shop right after, and they had no issue completing the service. On our most recent visit, we had the same concern about the hood, so my husband opened it for them. At that point, we were told they couldn’t complete the oil change because they believed there might be an oil leak. We were also told it was a “California car” that required special expertise. For reference, this is a Hyundai Sonata. Based on these experiences, it seems like this location may not be comfortable performing basic services. Unfortunately, we won’t be returnin
If I could leave zero starts I absolutely would. My family has now given them 3 opportunities with 3 different vehicles to JUST DO AN OIL CHANGE. this is now THREE vehicles that haven’t leaked, that started leaking oil after the oil change. Not to mention the teenage staff are the rudest people I have ever met, and treat the older lady that works there, TERRIBLY. Not only did they completely mess up my car to the point it’s no longer drivable, they just make the entire experience uncomfortable and unsettling. I don’t even understand how they are in business. Edit. Just found out they tied the wire for the oil pressure sensor INTO my oil filter…what in the world. Thanks Mr. Garcia.
I wish this place the best, they really need to change their performance and attitude. I went there a year ago to get an emission done, no tech. I just called, a year later, talked with a very dismissive indvidual, now their tec doesn't come until noon. Though I have two cars that need an oil change and one that needs an emission test, I will be going elswhere. I live in West Point and we like to support our business base; however, not the case here.
I stopped by the new Oil Changers in West Point for the first time after receiving a 50% off coupon for residents. The place is very clean and organized, and I was impressed by how quick the service was. I was in and out pretty fast. The young woman who did my oil change was friendly, professional, and didn’t try to upsell unnecessary services, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the experience was affected by another employee whose attitude came across as rude and dismissive. It seemed like he didn’t want to be there, and his behavior took away from what could have been a great first impression. Overall, I appreciated the efficiency and cleanliness, but customer service consistency will make or break this new location. I would consider returning if that issue is addressed.
