One Above Auto Works

Rarely do I write a review unless I receive stellar service, which is the case with One Above Auto Works. My Mercedes broke down in a parking garage and I was having a difficult time getting it towed. One Above is near my house so I stopped and told Carl that I had no idea when it would be towed. (This was on a Friday.) I was so frustrated. Carl gave me his cell phone number to keep him updated. When my car arrived Carl checked it out and called me to let me know I needed a new radiator. He gave me a very reasonable price to replace it so I felt confident in asking him to check out everything on the car. As it turned out, one of my tires needed to be replaced. (I was previously informed by another Foreign Auto business that I needed ALL of my tires replaced.) Carl also let me know that t

Great experience with One Above Auto Works! It is hard to find a knowledgeable mechanic that will not rip you off with your foreign car. They were able to get my BMW in right away, charged a fair price, and did not try to take advantage by advising unnecessary repairs. Everything was explained in a way that made sense. They even gave me a ride back home and picked me up when the car was done. Highly recommend to all, specifically those in the Pawtuxet Village/Edgewood area. Definitely my new local mechanic!

I can’t say enough good things about One Above Auto Works. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with professionalism and courtesy by the owner Carl. Carl is knowledgeable, transparent, and genuinely cares about doing the job right. He took the time to explain what needed to be done and why, without trying to upsell or pressure me into unnecessary repairs. The work was completed on time, and my car runs like new. Prices were fair, and he even followed up to make sure everything was running smoothly. I’ll definitely be coming back for future service and recommending One Above to friends and family!

The guys at One Above have been professional and honest from the start, from a fix as easy as my power steering hose coming loose to another time when I needed an oil leak repaired, they were right on and got it fixed the first time. I finally found an auto shop I can trust who assesses the problem quickly, does great work, is reasonably priced, realizes my time is valuable and doesn’t sell me on things I don’t actually need. It’s also nice that the owner, Carl is a really nice guy with a lot of experience in the industry. There are a lot of shops out there but One Above really is that.
