O'Reilly Auto Parts

My wife recently went to the O’Reilly’s on Church Street for a battery replacement, and the experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing. Before she ever went in, I called ahead because the battery was under warranty. I specifically asked multiple times if they had the correct battery in stock and if they knew how to replace it, since our vehicle has a fuse box connected to the battery. I work an hour away, so I was very clear: if this was going to be an issue, I would rather pick up the battery myself and install it after work. Jasper reassured me several times on the phone that it would not be a problem and that they could handle it. My wife arrived at 10:30 AM and did not leave until 12:40 PM — over two hours later. One employee started taking things apart and then told her,

Probably one of the worst O'Reilly's I've been to. Inventory is never correct. Some of the staff have terrible attitudes. Returned a loaner tool and he gave me cash instead of putting it back on the card like I asked. Then told me well the computer says I have to give you cash It can't go back on a card even though I just returned a tool the day prior and it went back on the card. Waited at the checkout counter for 22 mins to be rang up since there was only one person working. Drivers aren't allowed to ring people up in their downtime between calls, so for the 22 minutes I waited, I got to watch a driver play on her phone and eat.

When I needed a few urgent items the employee was kind enough to just grab those items for me. Have had wonderful assistance every time.

I stopped going to autozone for a reason… now that reason is at oreilly! Spend more time pretending they are looking up parts and don’t know what they are actually talking about. Management makes me feel real uncomfortable when I am there.
