I scheduled two different appointments to have my car serviced, and it wasn't serviced either time. When I arrived for my first appointment, I was told they wouldn't be able to get to my car that day because they were too busy, so I rescheduled. The second appointment I scheduled was a week later at 11 am. I left my car with them so that they'd have the entire day to service it. At 3:45 pm I started calling the service department because I hadn't heard anything from anyone about my car. I got no answer. I received a call at 5:13 pm (they close at 5:30 pm) stating that they weren't able to get to my car that day. First experience with Parks GMC service for an extended warranty repair on my Buick Encore was awesome. Despite having to return the car for service the day I picked it up due to an unforeseen issue, Matt, service manager, went above and beyond to make sure I was able to follow through with plans to leave directly from the auto shop to an important event he was aware of by offering me a nice loaner car for as long as as I needed it for and I was not charged for the unforeseen issues. Matt stayed in communication with me throughout the week my car was in service. had a 2pm appointment to get my car serviced and actually arrived around 1:30 the gentleman told me they were a little backed up and may not get me in until 2, perfectly understandable since l was early for the appointed time. I waited patiently, however it was 4:00 when I went out to the shop area to ask what the holdup was, after sitting in the waiting area the entire time watched at least 6 people come in and leave that were also getting their car serviced. The service man said they were almost finished and that he was not aware that I was waiting in the customer area. I had an appointment, of course I was waiting. It was 4:30 when I got my car back. Needless to say we wont be returning there and have gone to this location for 2 years for routine service since we purchased the car there

This is the last time I will be taking our vehicle there. We have had minor issues in the past, but nothing like this, and I believe it’s because this is the first time we have experienced service there without a vehicle under warranty. They called to give us estimates on repairs and we were charged $214 dollars for a 13 dollar part that took them maybe 5 minutes to install. The other issue we didn’t bother having them touch because it was a simple fix requiring no parts, which they wanted over $500 to fix. We wanted to pick it up and do the work ourselves instead, but were told it was going to end up costing almost the same amount ($209) for a diagnostic fee, for a part we already knew needed to be replaced, and told them this when scheduling. I’ve been using this dealership since it was Vestal and have always had great service here. Aaron in the service department is one of the best! This guy is knowledgeable and someone that you can actually trust. They always get me in and out quickly. Thank you all for the great service and doing a great job!!
