Payless Car Rental

Booked a car two weeks ago. Got here and was told that I had a wait because the car was being cleaned. There were a lot of us waiting. I have been waiting for almost 30 minutes. This is so unprofessional! The staff at the counter were also rude. They were wearing Avis shirts. This is gross incompetence. Not sure they care about reviews as I see the have a lot of bad ones. I wish I had checked before making the reservation.

This rental location historically has a long wait. I have used them many times because my company insists on it. When I showed up to get my rental, I was told I would have a 2 hour wait. I had a reservation. I waited and got a car. Once I got out of town, the vehicle would vibrate when driving above 63 miles per hour. I called Payless and they said I needed to return the car. They also insisted I needed to refill the gas in the car. So after waiting way to long for a reserved rental car, I had to pay for the gas to cover there mistake. Did I mention the car was not even full when I got it? On the phone they told me they would have a car waiting. They lied. I am now waiting again for another car. I don't know why this place has such bad reviews. My experience this past weekend was fine. I was in and out within 10 minutes. 4/5 stars though because the agent was slightly rude, but I got what I needed and the car worked great.

It's wasn't worth saving any amount of money for this experience. I was given a fully electric car since this is all they had left and never having driven one before I had no idea how to operate it or how to check the charge. They told me it wouldn't have to be charged even though after I started driving I found the indicator light that showed it was only 50% charged. There were few charging stations near where I was staying and wasn't sure what kind of charger I needed or how to operate charging it so ultimately chose not to drive the car since I wanted to make sure I was able to return to the airport. Had a 10am reservation arrive at 1030 to ensure that my car would be ready, just to find out when I get there that they didn't have any car's available it was literally 15to20 people ahead of me waiting which made me miss my daughter graduation that I had to get to that was five hours away,returned the car the night before drop off day they are say I dropped it off on the dropoff day when the car was there for over 12 hours before time.never again will I rent from them again worse experience ever
