Payless Car Rental

I have been in line for over an hour and have at least 2 more hours to go. I couldn’t cancel because I booked through Expedia. I will miss my meeting due to the lack of proper staffing during an obvious busy time. Payless customer service (Shanta) was of absolute no help whatsoever. Will never use your company again.

Nancy and Felicia are super rude front desk employees. We were standing off to the side to make a online booking and she told us it’s gonna take 30 minutes to load onto system. We went to the Avis counter right next to them and they helped us instantly with an online booking. Staff at front desk was very lazy and rude for Payless Car rental. No one in line either.

Super easy access from Newark Airport- no trains needed,just elevators and escalators. Very clean and spacious. The wait was pretty short, but they didn’t have the car we ordered. Otherwise it was a really great experience and reasonable rates

I have to say I was pretty scared about the whole process before I got there because it was the first time I rented a vehicle at this location and with this company! When I arrived in the afternoon, the only setback was that there was only one line for about four other rental places! Which I found odd but not too crazy. I honestly think that the whole process was very easy once I got to the counter I was there for less than five minutes and my car was easily able to be found! My deposit, I stated that I had third-party coverage and to be honest I was on my way! Once again this was my first time with them so I decided to come back about 2 1/2 hours early to return my car big mistake. The process was less than 15 minutes. Oh I will know for next time. The lines were ridiculous. Over 30 people in line and only one sometimes two staff at the counter. Took 1h30min to get into the car. Horrible attitude from the staff. Payless you should do better.
