Payless Car Rental

When I rented the car, it was quick and the gentlemen was very nice. After 24 hours our car would not start - and our problems began. This Payless does not have a phone and it took hours to get our issue resolved. (Reason for 3 stars) Once I was back at Payless rental counter, a young lady names Cassie Collin’s helped me. She was very professional and she follow thru on everything things she told me she would do. I would give her and her boss a 5 star rating. I would go back to Payless in Punta Gorda Fl again.

Able to get me a car when no one else would. Very nice and friendly staff. Car was new and clean inside.

Excellent service at Punta Gorda airport. Pick up and drop off were fast. Staff was friendly and the car was spotless. One of the best rental experiences I’ve had.

I made a car reservation 6 months in advance of our trip. After standing in line for 2 hours I was told, along with many other customers, that they were out of cars. They suggested we call Uber- and we're staying in Cape Coral. Next time I'll fly in to Ft. Myers where we had no problem getting a vehicle.

Absolutely don’t use this company! They have a disconnected phone number and we just lost $988 for a rental that we were on time for, but they wouldn’t let us take the car! All because we didn’t have a credit card compared to debit card. They tried to say that it was because we are Florida residents. We have rented dozens of times with Debit card and they just put deposit hold on it. They said no debit cards. This behavior has to stop! Car was fully paid for when I booked it, and we were going to give $200 deposit. But nope! Now they won’t give the $988 back! We didn’t cancel or come late per cancellation policy. Never ever will I pay ahead through any car company or Expedia again! Expedia tried to get my money back from them, but Payless won’t. It took them days to get them since no phon
