Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

I'm an Uber driver and I rent through Hertz. I have a 2024 Kia Niro EV, and it was given to me with a tire that was already worn unevenly. After a few weeks of 1,000+ miles per week, the steering feel did not inspire confidence and I booked a service with Pep Boys. The service was done very quickly. I was expecting that that were going to replace the one bad tire, but then I got the vehicle back with 4 brand new tires! Plenty of lube/sealant used, so these definitely have a good grip on the rims and should be sealed very well. Thank you Pep Boys for the excellent experience!

Every person I met and interacted with was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They not only listened and understood my issue but helped me with my car right away and solved it. If there were 6 stars they'd get that, thank you so much!

As a several year long customer of PepBoys, I am really disappointed with the service my husband received for his vehicle over the last few months from the Allison Park PepBoys location. His car was running perfectly prior to going to this location. A few months ago, he was recommended to get a tune up that began this unfortunate series of events. After the tune-up, the car was not drive-able. Turns out, they put broken spark plugs in the car! Thankfully, the cost of the repair was not on us. However, 3 months later, his car started leaking a ton of oil. We took it to a local mechanic, who told us that there was a puncture in the oil filter, and said the oil filter looked old as if it wasn’t ever changed in the first place. Completely unacceptable, and we have put way more money into this

What a cluster flop! Two days ago I had an appointment to have the oil changed, to repair a slow leak in the left rear tire, and to rotate the tires. Today I have another appointment because the leak persists in the tire at the same wheel position which theoretically was rotated. (The problem is not with the TPMS because I’ve been reinflating that tire to the full pressure every morning and evening). At this writing I have more than three total hours invested in the Pep Boys waiting area, which has enabled me to learn all about Manny, Moe and Jack. So much for making an appointment. How hard is it to fix one tire? And how do I know that the tires were actually rotated in the first place? I regret coming here. Made an appointment online. Multiple tires available for my car "in stock". Was met by an attendant who could not have cared any less that I was there to do business. Couldn't find my appointment even though I showed them I had one. Advised that even if I did have an appointment, they didn't have tires to fit my car. Just a very unpleasant first experience with this company and it will be my last. Way too many other stores in the area to provide my vehicle service. Terrible customer service. I didn't mean to inconvenience this fellow at his place of business by trying to provide him with business. I will make sure not to make that mistake in the future.
