Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

I scheduled an appointment for brake repairs at 1pm. As I arrived I requested an estimate for the repairs before any labor took place. I couldn’t receive the service as important matters came up so I figured I can reschedule for 5pm instead. I set the appointment on their website and received confirmation. Later in the day as I arrived back I was told that only one guy who worked on brakes took off work. What’s odd to me is that if Pep Boys website allows you to schedule an appointment from the hour they open til 7, why was I told this? Clearly there’s miscommunication here. I would like to add that when the first guy I spoke to went on his break the other gentleman at the front desk had a difficult time understanding what I was explaining to him. I came in and spoke with Joe about purchasing 2 new tires for my 2024 Chev Malibu. My front tires were a different brand than the rear tires and I wanted all 4 the same brand which was Continental. After about 2 hours he came up with 2 Continental tires that were a little less expensive than the 2 already on my vehicle so I purchased them for right at $500. Since it was still early Monday morning he told me he would call me the following day as soon as they came in to schedule installation I told him I would take off work the following day Tuesday, so anytime would be fine! I ask him if they could do an alignment if needed he said yes they do an automatic alignment check and complimentary vehicle inspection with my purchase! So Tuesday no one called, Wed no one called etc. So mey next day

this place is a rip off. somehow the battery that I had in my car is not the one my car came out with, and not even a brand carried by the store I purchased mine from. They also told me the spark plugs were an issue, then didnt even bother to reinstall them and left them loose in the engine. I got a second opinion and they said the spark plugs were never the issue. Now I'm out a new battery that was fine going in, and a spark plug that got damaged from being left loose, and the store is refusing to take any accountability whatsoever

I had a 10am appointment for a simple diagnostics for electrical issues. They told me I was next and the tech was almost done with the car before me. I called at 12:30 with no communication since and they told me it may be next after they come back from lunch and it would be best I leave my car overnight just to see what the diagnostics are.

While traveling home we got a flat tire but were lucky enough to get off the exit right at this Pep Boys in Buford, GA. We couldn't have had a better experience. The staff was kind, courteous and professional...they fixed the flat in less than an hour and we were on our way. Highly recommend this Pep Boys!
