Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

This Pep Boys here has excellent customer service. My tire was going flat. It was almost 7:00 PM and I wasn’t sure where I was gonna get my tire fixed that night. I was fortunate enough to make it to this Pep Boys location. The tire was down to almost no air, I ask if they were able to fix this tonight. The service lady was happy to help me she was very nice. The technician went straight to working looking over the tire to find the problem. He replaced my tire quickly.

I have been using this Pep Boys in Gastonia North Carolina since the doors first open for business. I have purchased tires,brakes,shocks,etc and actually bought a leather jacket from this store when they sold stuff like that years ago. But on my most recent use of this store buying tires for my wife’s car, which started out bad to begin with because they didn’t want to honor one of their deals after we had already bought the tires online, but they did offer a different deal that was going to cost more money, but after my wife wrote a review on yelp and Google, they changed their mind and decided to honor the original deal. I highly highly recommend this location, after being lied to and turned aware by another auto repair shop, they accepted our vehicle late and went above and beyond, got it done that next day and we needed multiple and I mean multiple services! OMG and Brittany! AMAZING, kept us updated and the kindest! Will be returning for services.

Horrible deal Breaker! Purchased set of 4 Cooper Tires last day of sale at half price plus installation. Paid in full online and scheduled installation appointment for two days later. Received immediate confirmation via email. Morning of appointment received call that store has to order tires from another store as they don’t have them in stock. Then said they could not honor the half price deal because that deal had expired but could give me a get one free with purchase of three tires. When I said that was bad business the caller said it wasn’t their fault and rudely hung up. Just as well as I won’t do business there again. Shady! Update: reached out as directed but still no response.

I’ve been using pep boys in Gastonia for a while and I’m impressed with the customer service. Stephanie at the front desk is always helpful and very upfront if they feel they can’t tackle the task there. I’ve never had an issue whatsoever here.
