I unfortunately got a rear flat on a Saturday night meaning most places were closed on Sunday. I was able to find a location that was opened, I took the tire off myself and took it to the store in hopes of getting it replaced. The guy at the front of very polite and straightforward letting me know they were pretty booked for Sunday but would try to help me out. Their mechanic was running late even though they open at 9am. The guy at the front told me he’d give me a call if they could help me out. He called me and we had agreed on a specific tire. I went back once the service was done to get the wheel back. Even then, it was described as a “slight” leak, which grossly understated the severity of the issue. I live only 1.5 miles from the shop. By the next morning, my vehicle displayed a critical low-oil warning, and my driveway was covered in oil. This confirms the leak was significant and posed an immediate risk of engine failure. I had an unexpected tire blow-out. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money for a tire. I called in advance. They found me a decent tire at a discounted price. They told me a good time to come in so that I wouldn’t have to wait long. When I got there, they were ready for my car. I walked across the street to grab a quick sandwich. It wasn’t long before they were texting me to let me know my car was ready.

I've been a loyal customer with Pep Boys for purchasing new tires and their road-handler warranties for over 30 years. I recently went into their location for new tires a few months ago. The salesman said he would not honor my "Pep Boys" warranty because there is no record of tire rotation. Well, your neighbor, Matthews Towing and Automotive does that for me, but for some reason they don't enter anything in a database for record. Even though the tires were rotated regularly, and the tires were nearly bald, the salesman would not give me any retroactive discount for the wear based on the tire manufacturer's warranty. I will NEVER purchase tires from Pep Boys EVER again!!! This was always allowed, based on wear. Now, NO. Thanks for your crappy customer service. I'm not returning to any of yo
