DONT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!!.. they replaced my brakes in late October 10/19. They charged me $1143 (10/20)/ then had me test drive the car around their parking lot. The brake pedal goes to the floor/ the car would not stop/I engaged e-brake to stop.. They said they’ll “get the expert on it tomorrow” (huh?)-I spend 3 more days in hotels ($1000) in Providence waiting for them to fix it a second time for an additional(?) ~$1116 -then the ‘NEW’ BRAKES FAILED COMPLETELY on the I-91 two days 10/24 later up in Vermont/NH border. Calipers not bolted on causing severance of brake lines-both front tires and hubs covered in brake fluid two days after two of their “repairs” Nearly crashed off highway at 65 mph. Car was flat bedded to a local GMC DEALERSHIP in NH where I paid $1300 MORE To repair PEP B

Outstanding service at Pep Boys! My car unexpectedly broke down in June, and I'm so grateful for the incredible help I received. The team was upfront about the problem, the cost, and the timeline. They were patient and understanding when I faced financial difficulties, working with me until I could pay. My car is running perfectly now, thanks to their excellent work. Mark and his team deserve high praise for their professionalism and kindness. I highly recommend Pep Boys!

Update: They leave a comment saying reach out for resolution only for the appearance! They do not actually do anything to resolve the situation. Don’t be fooled into thinking they actually want to resolve anything .If you can help it, take your car elsewhere Called the day prior to my appointment only for them to put my appointment under a random male name. I specifically asked about the coupon for the break and rotor and was told that it would be automatically applied, only for the guy to charge me the full amount and say it was my fault for not presenting the coupon, even thought I double asked if the coupon was going to be automatically applied to my bill. They gave me an inspection saying that there were no lights on the dashboard even though it was clear that i had an engine light on

3 staff including the MANAGER did not realize my car was a standard so they stalled the engine 5 times in a row and I had to move it from the garage for them. The engine light came on after and they were no help. I've had other bad experiences with them - not listening to what I wanted and performing the wrong service and charging FULL PRICE - but this was the last time. A mechanic should be able to visually recognize a standard vs. an automatic car lol. Bare minimum. So your car is NOT in good hands with them. If you go anyway, make sure they verbally repeat your request back to you because they do not listen well. I called them about this twice but they never responded. So now theyve lost a customer and have a 1-star review. Not how I would do business

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had. I do not recommend this Pep Boys, as it felt like a waste of money. The Seekonk location is significantly better. Additionally, be cautious with their POS system; staff appeared unsure how to resolve payment issues, including situations involving double charges.
