Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

Would never go back. Derek spent from 7am-8am just cancelling all his online appointments because he was "slammed". By 8am he still hadn't even touched anything but a keyboard. He had absolutely zero tact handling the situation and no sense of urgency. Please go anywhere else with your vehicle. Also, why does Pep Boys allow online appointment making but then doesn't honor them in store? If I could give negative stars, I would. UPDATE: A day after Pep Boys customer service contacted me below and I spoke to them Derek called under the guise of a customer service call just to scream and harass me on my personal number at work. Called me "a piece of garbage." Lovely place of business. TRUST ME! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

2.5 hours for an oil change, windshield wipers changed, filters, and battery change. The time didn’t bother me as much as the person behind the counter. While I get it may be a condition, but having to wait until the guy wakes up and goes in and out of sleep in install to have to deal with - especially in the mid conversation. But the price of the service received was good. Most importantly I am happy with the outcome of what I requested.

I was quoted a price ( I shopped around. Prices can vary significantly for an alignment). At checkout I was charged an additional $12.50. I inquired what the additional shop supplies were for. I was told that is just something that gets charged, manager said he has no control over that. I complained to the customer service line and was told someone will get back to you by Monday. Not hearing back I called again several days later. They sent my concern to said manager. I said bump it up to the next level, I received the original service from that manager. They said they were sending it to someone at the corporate office and they will get in touch with me. Never a call, text, letter, or smoke signals. Seems pretty shady to me. I do not recommend!

I recently visited Pep Boys and was thoroughly impressed with their service. I had a flat tire and needed a quick fix but wasn't able to schedule an appointment ahead of time. Despite this, they were able to fit me in and had the exact tire I needed. In no time at all, they fixed my tire and had me out the door. Their fast service made for a hassle-free experience that I'd recommend to anyone. Highly satisfied!

CONSUMER ALERT: Do not bring your vehicle to this shop!!!!!! I had Pep Boys install a battery 2 months ago, and the car has been acting funny ever since: steering locks up while driving, lights come on dash, and eventually the wiring catches fire. The cause of failure: The battery was loose and sliding around due to a FAILED INSTALLATION. Everyone at the shop told me they would fix it, but now the manager is refusing. Also he refuses to give the name and number of his superior. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!
