Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

I stopped in to the West Warwick location of pep boys to check on price and availability for new tires for my car. My intent was to schedule an appointment for next week, however the store manager Blake had other plans. He showed me a set of tires that met my needs, however they were considerably cheaper than I was planning. They were still high quality, but he steered me toward a buy three get one free sale on a set of all season tires that were in stock. Blake also mentioned if I wanted to wait, he had an Available tech and an open lift, so he could get my car in and out in about an hour and a half. I give them zero stars The Pep Boys in Warwick is unclean one of the staff there named Steve complete attitude from the moment I talk to him wasn’t my first choice to go there, but I was sent there by my car’s #Warranty. I will never go there and spend money out-of-pocket again to anyone going for service there I would be looking around making sure your work is done properly on your vehicles.

Took my car here to get 4 new tires. Drove out feeling robbed, missing a wheel lock, and misguided. Was convinced to go through with a 4 wheel alignment to the tune of $125 for them to only have to adjust one angle, and was told that I needed brake pads almost immediately. Upon my own inspection after buying my own brake pads and rotors from a different retailer for half the price I was quoted from them (I was told the parts alone were going to be $800 so they were basically doing it for free) I saw that I still had roughly 40% pad life left. Choose to go here if you want to be swindled like me. Good luck.

Anyone who cares about their vehicle and money should stay away from this place. I had a front passenger flat tire. I went to them as they were the closest. They told me that they can’t repair the tire and I must instead get all 4 tires replaced, although the other 3 tires had thousands of miles left in them. Thankfully I decided to get a second opinion. Melvin tire store in Johnston were highly professional and repaired the tire in 20 minutes without a concern. I wish I could give pep boys zero stars. They nearly ripped off of 1200 dollars STAY AWAY!!!

This place is really terrible. I made an appointment to change 4 tires which is something that can be done in maybe 10 minutes. I was told that having an appointment doesn’t matter because the people from the call center just book them without asking and it was going to take 2 hours because they didn’t have anyone available. So I asked the guy who was helping me if it was okay for me to make a call to have someone pick me up while they do it and while I was doing that they guy I was working with went on break. I took me maybe 3 minutes to make the phone call and when I can back in there was another guy there who told me they weren’t going to be able to change 4 tires in one day and I would have to leave my car over night. My appointment was at 1:30 and this place closes at 6. That’s how lo
