I initially took my truck to another auto shop in town, where the issue was misdiagnosed and I was told I needed a new engine. Feeling unsure, I decided to get a second opinion and truly wish I had brought it to Performance from the start. The professionals at Performance accurately diagnosed the problem and fixed it promptly. I was back on the road and driving my truck within 24 hours. I have always brought my truck to performance as it was recommended by family and coworkers and it was convenient to me at the time. I have brought my truck for oil changes and all other maintenance needed. Recently I brought it in as I've been noticing the coolant reservoir being low, but primarily for my front brakes. I got an oil change done at this time as well. At this time they told me I had a leak in the coolant reservoir hose. I drive a lot for work so I needed this fixed ASAP. They were unable to accommodate me for a week so I sought out other help. Which was fine. However when I went to a new mechanic they noted that not only do I have a leak in my coolant hose but I had an oil leak! I have been taking my 2006 Toyota 4runner to Performance for a long time now, oh by the way it has over 428000 miles on it. It's not a typo, yes 428000 miles. All the mechanics and lobby staff are extremely professional. I do recommend if you want your vehicle running at it's peak performance, you'll want to visit Performance, and I must shout out a mechanic by the name of Wesley!! You won't go wrong asking for him. First: I live in Cary. I drive 30 minutes to take my vehicles to performance here’s why… I have gone to performance since 2018 when I opened a business in Pittsboro. The thing that struck me about performance is that they would tell me what work and repairs I need on my vehicle, and give me an honest evaluation about other things that I could do or not do. While many chain stores that I know will recommend repairs that aren’t necessary, when I get a second opinion from performance, they tell me if something is necessary or not The latest example of this was a $4200 repair estimate from a chain store.
