I’ve now given Preston BMW of Boardman two opportunities, years apart, and both experiences were unacceptable. Years ago, I brought in a 5 Series with a damaged fiber optic loop for the head unit and was billed $250/hour for diagnosis, only to be told they could not resolve the issue. This week, I scheduled an 8:30 AM appointment for my 2019 BMW 330i xDrive (G20 chassis) regarding a well-documented moisture-related failure of the side mirror control unit, a common issue caused by inadequate weather sealing. I dropped the vehicle off the night before expecting timely service. By 11:30 AM, I was informed the vehicle had not been touched. Nearly four hours later, Vaughn advised that the technician still needed to “diagnose” the issue at $250/hour, despite my clear request to replace the known
