I was referred to Mr Price by a friend of his sons who is also my neighbor and good friend. I just bought this truck and had already taken a long trip in it. Towed a 20k lb 5th wheel from TX to CA. So I was hearing noises and convinced there were problems in the Transmission as there are several controls and settings that I knew nothing about but was using while towing based on instructions I found here and there when trying to learn how it's best operated. Found this place today in pomona. I had my transmission fluid changed yesterday, at another repair shop.When they were done, my truck would only go into third gear, and it had no passing gear.He said I probably need a rebuilt. Today I went to a few shops and they wanted me to leave my truck. I checked out Price transmissions. They are three brothers who have been doing transmissions for close to 40 years. They were having lunch, but talked to me about the symptoms I was having. He said it sounded like a solenoid was bad or loose. Manuel and Vincent said they would drain the fluid and proabably have it done before 5:00.I left about 2:00 and they called about 4:20 and said it was just a loose solenoid and the bill was $100.00.
