RAG's Complete Auto Repair

The mechanics are nice guys always. It's a friendly atmosphere inside the shop everytimeIhad to go there. But some days are better than others to go in and have work done. I got my truck back today for the water pump and serpentine belt repair. The mechanic came in on his day off to finish the repair, due to the wrong part being sent to him originally. That is no fault of his And I appreciate him taking that time, When the shop was originally scheduled to be closed today. But I fear that he may have felt rushed to complete the task and get me my truck back, because here it is 3 hours later on a Saturday, and I'm back on the side of the road with a broken serpentine belt and 2 bolts missing from the water pump pulley. This is the first time anything like this has happened. So, I'm not sure

My son's vehicle was in need of service. Our regular mechanic was booked and unable to service his automobile. Rag's is located next door to my place of employment so I thought this would be a convenient relationship. This ended up being a mistake and a loss of money. The vehicle has made a total of six visits for the same problem. I expressed my concerns of needing the vehicle ready for a trip my son was soon to take. They assured it would be repaired in a timely manner. On the way home from the sixth trip the check engine light came on and the code read the same code as before. I advised them i wanted a refund because money was spent and the same problem still existed. They informed me they do not issue refunds. Great experience! Both gentlemen explained everything that was needed, and even let me watch some of what they were doing. Despite a confusion on a part order (not the fault of the shop), I never even noticed the extra time. And they are completely understanding of odd work schedules. My repair ended up being a bit more intensive than originally planned (again not the fault of RAG's), but I was never made to feel like it was putting them out. Even though I live an hour a away, I think I found my car's new repair shop.

Was recommended to see them by a co-worker as I didn't know who to go to in Decatur for mechanical car repairs (brakes in my case specifically). Got great service at a great price. They're no BS mechanics and give it to you straight.

The guy that is working on cars He seems to be nice and he seems like he's going to be a good mechanic for Mom and i we're just trying him out so we don't know all the ins and outs our mechanic has retired we had been there for over 20 years so we're going to miss him but hopefully this place will give us another 20 good plus for our vehicle
