I took my car to Foster’s Transmission after a tire company uptown in Belleville told me I needed brakes. That didn’t sound right, so I wanted a second opinion. Foster’s confirmed that my brakes were actually fine and didn’t try to sell me something I didn’t need, which I really appreciated. I did have a check engine light on, and they accurately diagnosed it as a bad O2 sensor and handled my 60k service as well. The customer service was excellent, the prices were fair, and everything was explained clearly. It’s refreshing to find a shop that’s honest and straightforward. I’ll definitely be going back and would recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy mechanic.

I'd give this business 6 stars if I could. Their communication is excellent. They took me step-by-step through the entire process and was extremely transparent about pricing and timing. They even helped me fix my car over the phone while I was out of town, to help me safely get back home. I give them 2 thumbs up!

The team at Randy Foster is one of the classiest, most honest, and hard working group of mechanics I have ever met. I went in because there was concern that my transmission was not working because the "check engine" light appeared on my dash. While they were definitely busy, the team was very kind and they were able to get my car checked on the same day. My Ram had some codes show up for transmission solenoid issues and my rpm and shifting were acting very odd. Took my truck somewhere before here and they told me I needed a new transmission and quoted me such. I took it to Foster transmission and over the phone even from my description they were apprehensive to me needing a new transmission outright. They took a look at it and replaced a solenoid. Truck has been driving and towing my camper for over a month now with zero issues. I should have called them first. Very happy with the service provided.
