We recently experienced a car issue during our journey home just before the 4th of July holiday. Roughly 50 miles north of Susanville, the battery light popped on. When we reached Susanville, we were referred to Rich's Mobile Auto Repair. Upon arriving at Rich's shop, I'll be honest, we were a little skeptical at first 🫣 due to the location. But remember the old adage; "Don't judge a book by its cover". After speaking with Rich, he told us that he was pretty booked at the time and not sure if he could get to us, but would diagnose our vehicle to verify the suspected faulty alternator. Not only did he diagnose the vehicle, he sourced the only part available in town, pulled his technician off another job, and repaired our vehicle in under 2-hrs. The level of service was impressive. We were traveling through Susanville on Monday 4-15-24. We encountered a transmission issue, called Riches to see they would be able to diagnose problem, then called tow company. The towing company couldn't get our car to Riches before closing time. Mark was great he waited for our car to get to shop before going home for the evening and assured us that they would check it out first thing in a.m. Unfortunately our transmission was ruined and would need to be replaced with a new unit. They checked it out without charging us for their time! I just want to commend Rich for hiring and running such an upstanding and courteous business, a true rarity today! Thank you!
