Safety and Emission Inspection Center

Used to be reliable for years, but in mid 2024 a new safety inspector (20769) started failing people on dimmed or cloudy headlight covers unjustifiably and then overcharging for the buffing work. Noticed another customer was told the same that same day. He paid it. I asked to see the actual ratings or test, but the guy refused to show his work. I took my car elsewhere for the repair, and a former inspector said it should not have failed and wasn’t close to failing. So I go elsewhere.

I visited this location for a Virginia Safety Inspection, and there was a bit of a wait in line. After approximately 45 minutes, someone finally came to inspect my car for safety. The customer service was neutral, and the inspection was performed in a very basic manner. However, I did notice something strange - there were a total of seven security cameras in the office, which seemed a bit excessive for a space that was only 200 square feet. It definitely caught me off guard!

I wouldn’t recommend going there for any services. The staff is rude, and the services are expensive. I went there for safety inspections. After the inspection, I was told that there was an issue with the brake pads, and they wouldn’t pass the test until it was fixed. I was quoted $200 for fixing that. I specifically enquired if I needed to replace the brake rotors, and they specifically said no. I left the car there. Later, I got a call saying that the brake rotors and pads needed to be replaced for the safety check to pass. Clearly, they did not do the safety inspection properly in the first place or were just trying to upsell, which is a common practice for these businesses. Not only that, but they also charged me more than what the Nissan showroom quoted me for the same services. When

I came here for a safety inspection and service was moving well-- even for a Saturday, I only had to wait about 10 mins. When I was up, the technician, Luis, realized my battery had just died. He patiently jumped my car for several minutes, completed the inspection, and sent me on my way. I was amazed at the speed of service, the professionalism, and care to take care of a very impromptu need with only kindness. This place has the feel of folks who would pull over to help you on the side of the road, anywhere, anytime. Thank you!
