Spend some time with a friend who volunteers at the Hispanic League and lives here. This retirement community is nestled between Bethabra and Indiana Ave. It is a pretty big size property with several entrances, with two of them being for visitors. It is a gated community and you must pass through a gate and a security guard to get in. They offer single family stand alone homes, apartments and condos as well as Assisted living care in a separate building. They also have a rehab building. There are lots of activities for the seniors here and they keep them busy and entertained. The staff is very hospitable and caring with all the residents. They make you feel welcome and warm. The area is maintained and landscape is always on point. I would love to live here when I am older.

I stayed at the Salemtowne Rehab facility in October 2019 for 9 days following knee replacement surgery and was so impressed with the top notch cAre I received at that time. Then in October 2024 I returned following gall bladder surgery for 48 miserable hours of inadequate care: no working HVAC, no call button that could reach the chair, no meal one day, uncomfortable mattress( replaced the following day with a good one) indifferent caregivers, no shower assistance and a defensive and indifferent administration apparently uninterested in hearing feedback or making changes. STAY AWAY! I then had excellent in home care during my recovery.

I'm thrilled with my new home at Salemtowne! The assistance I received to customize my home and move in was spectacular. The many activities have both expanded my knowledge and given me great opportunities to meet other residents. Life here is comfortable and stimulating and I'm grateful for the many employees and fellow residents who help to make it so.

This is indeed a very, very nice retirement community!! I have several friends who live here and they have expressed to me that they feel safe living at Salemtowne. They enjoy the activities, the food, the religious services, and the socialization among each other. In addition, they love the landscaping as well as the cleanliness of the facilities. There is a wonderful young lady, Constance, who works at Salemtowne, and the residents truly love and appreciate her. She is so attentive, compassionate, patient, courteous, and she certainly LOVES the residents. I am very glad that I had the opportunity to meet her, and this young lady is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!! Thank you, Constance, for everything you do to bring so many smiles and words of encouragement to my friends and the other residents at

my grandpa stayed here since 2019. he died last week. he had a defibrillator/pacemaker and towards the end of his life my dad who is a doctor told them he doesn't need jt anymore. i am not a doctor so i dont quite understand 100% of this but because he didnt need it anymore and they didnt take it it out like we had asked them to, it started to shock him in the last week of his life because that is the pacemakers way of telling the patient they need to take it back to the hospital. if they had just listened and taken it out when asked my grandpa wouldn’t be dead because about 2 days before he died i don’t know the exact order of events but i came to see him the day before he died and he was screaming in pain because of the pacemaker but couldn’t tell the nurses because the nurses kept givin
