Sam's Club Tire & Battery

We bought a set of tires here — the first replacement set since the factory-installed OEM tires. The staff failed to inform my wife, who brought the car in, that the lug bolts needed to be re-torqued after 100 miles. Because of that, I checked them myself. When I did, I found that every lug bolt was over‑torqued by about 30 ft-lbs, and one was stripped. I filed a claim and followed their entire process. After multiple phone calls, an email, a fax, and even a certified letter, the claims manager determined that we were at fault for the damage because I re‑torqued the lug bolts — essentially penalizing us for doing the job the store should have done in the first place. Utterly disgusted with the lack of expertise and customer service. They called after the vehicle had been dropped off and said they couldn’t work on the car due to “high mileage and a rust spot where it needs to be lifted”. Asked the manager to explain and he couldn’t. He then proceeded to point at the lug nuts and say they were rusted (which he also could not point out a rust spot because there are none). No mention was ever made of the frame after the initial call. So just because the vehicle has 170K miles on it they refused to put new tires on it. An absolute waste of my day for the worst customer service and the biggest lack of occupational expertise I have ever encountered in the auto industry. Noah fixed my tire and helped me put it on my Toyota Hylander Hybrid. I ran over a small nail somewhere and ended up with a flat tire on my back drivers side. It was a muggy warm day and not the kind you want to be outside doing physical labor, but Noah happily helped me out. I tried to give him some money for helping, but he wouldn’t take it. Sams club should recognize good employees like Noah and give them a bonus for the goodwill they bring to their store.

Communication rating only. Google says they close at 7pm. Site says they close at 8pm. When there, Fargo Store says "they closed at 6pm and the site lied". Would be a good idea to decide on times so customers aren't stranded trying to use warranty service for a flat. You may need to call tow truck twice.

Went to buy 4 tires and they didn't have all 4 (only had 3 in stock). I asked if the other Sam's Club stores in the area had them and was given a printout with the name of the tire I asked about and told me it wasn't his problem to call the other stores. He told me to come find him if I find something else instead, then went into the back room. The other Sam's Club location had that same set of tires, so I went with that location instead. The guy was rude, made zero effort to calling other stores, didn't try to show me anything comparable, and disappeared into the back room.
