Easily one of the best mechanics in Salem. I've been going here for nearly a decade now and have only good experiences. Honest mechanic, fair rates, and great communication. The only thing I'd be aware of before coming here is that this place is a one man operation, so sometimes he can be booked out for a little while. But it's definitely worth the wait if you're not in a rush I road trip a car from the 90's every year, and have no worries driving thousands of miles because I know it's been properly taken care of.

John Linger is the owner. He is reliable, reasonable, fair and honest. He stands behind his workmanship. He is a regular working guy like the rest of us. He has no hidden agenda when working on your car. He will do his best for you. I've recommended him countless times and all of them have left feeling the same way I do about John. Give him a call.

John clearly cares about doing an excellent job and doing right by his customers, at reasonable prices. I honestly wish I had started bringing my car to him way earlier.

John saved me and a minivan full of kids on a day trip to Salem. When we ran into car trouble he got us in quickly, had parts in stock and got the job done. All within walking distance to some of the best attractions in Salem. Could not have asked for a better experience.
