Scrubby's Car Wash

For some reason, I just really prefer the self-serve car washes. There's something about washing my car on a sunny day that's rewarding. This one in particular, is a great location, lots of restaurants, close to the interstate and the guy was there today cleaning the stalls. So it's always nice and clean, which feels good.!

I love the fact that all of their stuff works and its open 24 hours. They even have a blower to dry. Their soap brush spits out tons of bubbles and their vacuums have good hoses. Its a little hidden but awesome.

This is the first time the 2021 - 2024 inflation really hit me. $3.25 for the first 4 minutes! The engine degreaser was a little weak for my liking, but we live in Hippy land, and everything has to be soy based and drinkable rather than work well. So it is what it is.

Scammy credit card machine configuration. User beware. First off, I've been to a lot of different self-service car washes, and they are not all configured like this. After the first 4 minutes at $3.50, this car wash rapidly increments the charge. I caught it barely after 4 minutes, and my charge was $5.25. The owner will probably give some sort of sleazy response, but let's be clear: they don't all work like this. Some of them require you to press a button to add time on the credit card machine, some of them are simply more generous with the time for $0.25 increment, and EVERY other one I've been to includes a large sign clearly stating what the behavior of the machine is and how much time you get per $0.25 increment.
