Self Service Auto Wash

I came needing just a quick rinse so went to the automatic and chose the cheaper one. It wasn’t reading any of my credit cards so inserted $10 worth of quarters only to find that it wasn’t working! And I couldn’t get it to spit them back out. One of the workers there was cleaning out the one area and he actually came over and hand washed my car in one of the other ports and did a more thorough job than the cheaper version of automatic that I was going to use! He was very friendly as well. Thanks!

If you just need a quick rinse, it’s fine. Whatever you do, do not use their brushes. Doesn’t matter if you pre rinse and soap, the brushes will eat your clear coat. Paint corrected last year, and had hand washed it since then, exclusively used the 3 bucket approach. First self service I take it to, and I try the brushes like a complete moron. 100% this is on me, I knew better, and I did it anyways. Just don’t use the brushes on anything with a clear coat.

Be very careful with using your credit card. It’s $8.00 for the initial wash then it only lets you add 2 minutes with your card. This forces you to either leave with a soapy car or pay the initial $8.00. My truck wash would normally cast me $12.00 anywhere else when using my card but it’s $20.00 plus because of how the meter their time. Obviously they know exactly how they are screwing their customers as they smile all the way home from the bank. The BBB and Florida’s weights and scale division should know how they operate.

I personally think this is the best self-serve car wash in Jacksonville. It is clean and well kept.

Absolutely the worst place to wash your vehicle by yourself in Jacksonville period - having done it at multiple places around Duval county - dollar for dollar your better off going to the auto parts store and buying the gear yourself and doing it at home and you will still save money at the end of the annoying buzzer to add more money into the machine by the end of the year - clearly the state does not regulate the amount of money on the clock - avoid this place - you have been warned and your money is better spent elsewhere - unfortunately my first 1 star rating of any business but it is lucky it stops at one....
