Waited 2 months to have work done on classic car. Have voice message asking about my oil leaks. Explained oil pan gasket leak requires engine be lifted. Whole conversation about type of engine, etc. Called 2 months later, nope, we don’t do that kind of work. Huh? I even called after first month to verify still interested after voice mail about oil leaks. Never kept my number or place in line. Can’t do work. Ugh. I have 5 cars. Guess we won’t worry about this place. I’ve been in Oswego 30 years. Enjoy the 5 stars. Not really earned.

My family has been taking our cars here for years. They have always done great work. The cost is always honest and fair. And they are also the nicest, most pleasant people to do business with. Their shop is very inviting and home-like.

I've been doing business here for 20 years. I would never go anywhere else. Excellent service, great diagnostics and a very friendly staff! They fix it RIGHT the first time. This is also not your typical auto shop. The place is so clean that you can eat off the floors. The Shipman's also show an interest in antiques so the office as well as the outside is loaded with interesting things to look at. I also know everyone here on a personal basis and have become good friends with all.

Someone recommended Shipman's to me a few years ago. They are an amazing group of people. I don't view them as mechanics but more as business partners. They really help you prepare for what could be coming up on your car in the next couple of years in addition to just fixing the present. They always are conscious of cost and work with you to get to the most reasonable price. They do this all with impeccable service. I am lucky to have found them and am very appreciative of everything they do.
