SIXT Rent A Car New York Times Square

Awful customer service - (happened in San Fran, but dealing with sixt claims in Miami) I rented from Sixt. 30 minutes after leaving the airport with rental, I got a flat tire on the highway. I was told by Sixt that the car had special (flat ready) tires and you can drive the car even with a flat. Terrible advice. Tire got ruined, car had to be towed, as it didn’t have a spare tire and day was ruined. (How can a rental not have a spare tire - absolutely insane) Now Sixt wants $360 for a new tire, plus towing and to top it off, they also want an administrative fee. I will never rent from them again and I hope anyone reading this will think twice renting from such an awful company

Great experience all around with Sixt for a recent weekend rental until I was charged for tolls a few weeks after my trip ended. Upon renal pickup, I was offered to be charged a fixed amount for “toll fees”. It seemed like a good deal so I took it. In the past, I’ve passed on the additional add-on and expected to receive the toll charges at a later date. Apparently what I was charged for “toll fees” was the ability to use the easy pass lanes when I passed through them. I was charged for the tolls anyway. Sixt customer service explained this to me AFTER I got the bill for the tolls weeks after my rental ended. I didn’t really understand their explanation about the different levels of toll fees you can pre-pay for, however I appreciated them for trying to explain it to me. i’m still not exa

I want to give a special shout-out to the crew on this Sixt location. This was the first time that I rented a car with Sixt and it was as smooth as it could be. My car was there on time and Kimmel helped me to get everything processed as fast as possible! He was also kind, an excellent communicator and made sure I had everything ready to enjoy a few days out of the city. Upon my return, the system took around 2 days to send the "return confirmation" which made me a bit nervous, but I assume this has to do with Sixt's systems rather than the location, this is something that they could improve. Anyway, just because of the staff I would consider renting again in here!

I have rented from almost all of the rental car companies in midtown, absolutely none compare to the quality of service at this Sixt location. I won’t be renting anywhere else but here! I’ve had great experiences every time I book here, from the staff to the cleanliness and ready time of the cars. Multiple staff members have gone above and beyond assisting me with my rental. For my most recent rental, I arrived before office hours and there was a line of people waiting. I had a reservation for work and worried about how long the line would take. Kimmel arrived got the office ready, opened up and took care of all the guest ahead of me and myself within the first 15 minutes. Other places would have taken 45 minutes to an hour! We had such a good experience at Sixt NYC! We arrived a few minutes late for our pick up time at 1pm and Kimmel was super understanding and helped us get a car (even though the location closes at 1pm on Sundays). He was so kind and helpful - we truly appreciated his positive energy and amazing service!
