Skinner's

I was told by another auto repair shop in town that Skinner's was *THE* place to take my '81 Jeep CJ5 that I'd purchased a few weeks earlier. Previous owner had put a new Holly carb on it, clearly straight out of the box with no tuning. It ran so rich that I could barely stand to drive it, the fumes were so bad. I made an appointment with Skinner's, dropped it off in the AM and picked it up good-to-go in the afternoon. It runs so much better and they also fixed the auto-choke that I didn't even know wasn't working (but now I can tell a difference). Definitely 5-star service without costing an arm-and-a-leg! I highly recommend!!!

I brought in my 1970 C-20 truck for a complete carburetor rebuild. Nick did an absolutely amazing job on the carburetor!!! It looks and runs like new! He also corrected a fuel pressure problem from the fuel pump. The work was done quickly, (one day), and there was always good communication with the customer! If you need carburetor work done, SKINNERS is the only place to go here in Albuquerque. They have fair prices, and do not over price the customer! Thank you Nick and Albert!

After I had taken my f150 to another shop and returned to multiple bog down issues and stalling I had a friend refer me here. Not only did they have my truck done the same day for a VERY reasonable price they had informed me the jets had been upgraded to the proper size ,timing adjusted to the factory spec and they even fixed a vacuum leak! ALL within one afternoon! Picked it up the same day and now it runs and drives like a dream. THANK YOU SO MUCH! HONEST AND WONT BREAK THE BANK!

I had been battling issues with my rebuilt 87 Nissan Hardbody and after taking it to Skinner’s for a carb checkup, I was called and told the issue was solved!! I was given info to help me in the future and a very reasonable charge for the service!! My truck runs so much better. I would recommend Skinner’s to anyone!! Thanks again….

Came in there to get my edelbrock carburetor rebuilt and tuned for my 66 Ford 390. The car fired up almost instantly, all that needed to be done was to adjust the idle screw. Thank you! God bless!
