They were quick and take care of me as a general walk in. The pricing was around $20 per tire for mounting, $16 per tire for "computer balancing" and $10 per tire for disposal. (As of September 2025 Rimer's offers mount+balance and disposal for $31 a tire, so you can see why they are always packed, but wanted to include that for the idea of the rates nearby.) They do also throw in a complementary car wash apparently, but I admittedly didn't notice it was even done as despite water droplets on some spots, it didn't clean anything off the vehicle.

We left this morning for a family road trip. About 1.5 hrs in we started losing tire pressure. We pulled over to put the spare on & google a shop. I called Slim’s & he told me he could fix it right away. We received excellent service & he went up and above helping with a blinker lightbulb problem as well. We’re back on our way (hopefully with no more hiccups) and couldn’t be more grateful for this amazing shop!

My daughter's car overheated on the way to work in Hinckley. She contacted this business when she got there and they did an oil change then told her the head gasket was bad and that's why her 2015 Jeep Compass overheated and that the bill would be $2k to fix it. When she got back home to Duluth I drove her car to get it to temperature, looked at the surge tank, radiator and oil cooler hoses. There waa a loose connection at the tee to the radiator cap. One 49 cent host clamp later and the problem is gone. If you're female and not mechanically inclined, beware!

Broke down in Sandstone, Dave towed us to his shop, dropped us at a hotel.Told us we'd have to wait till morning, no problem, was a good interaction. Next day told us there was nothing wrong with our vehicle. Nothing. Also was profane to my partner and unprofessional. Would not listen to what we were saying. Limped it back to Sandstone to Vorks. Amazing customer service and communication. They found out multiple problems and were simply a blessing. Would not recommend slims, at all.

Wanted brakes bleed the never told me they couldn’t open the passenger side front caliper bleeder and said I needed to replace both when I just did the drivers side drove it home and used it lightly for 2 weeks then replaced the passenger side now the drivers side needs to be replaced again because the said they bled the lines I found over 2 brake pedal pumps of air in the drivers side which had been replaced now it’s time to replace it again because it’s damaged. Tried to talk with the owner and he said it’s a ABS problem under the car no it was air in the line which his tech didn’t remove causing the new caliper to fail and he just blew me off like I knew nothing about cars I did the brake service but wanted them to do the bleeding because I don’t have a 2nd person to help or a 1 person
