5 stars just based on how real the mechanic kept it with me. Didn’t pass the first time so he gave me some recs without trying to sell his own services. Didn’t pass the second time for same code and he didn’t charge me. I’ll be going back once I can figure out the needed repair.

I’ve been coming here for years and the place just keeps getting better and better. The service is always super quick. I have newer cars so I’m always in and out in about ten minutes. I went recently and they are taking COVID seriously and I felt safe going (I can’t say that about a lot of businesses today). They didn’t even get in my car, they just had me drive up to the bay so they didn’t need to get in it. The technician also wore a mask the whole time and I saw him using fresh gloves. I can’t recommend this place enough. They don’t require appointments, but I was told they do offer them. They’re also super close to DMV (you can walk through the parking lot), which was handy when I brought a truck in here for a title transfer. Highly recommended by a German mechanic who does Mercedes/BMW but no Volkswagen. Had a major problem with my 2016 Tiguan and the owner did an amazing job for a very fair price. Any bad reviews must be from before the ownership change, the current owner is incredible and five stars all the way!

I've brought my cars here multiple times and they're always super quick, even if there's a line. They're cheaper than the other shops in the area and frankly just much better. Faster, less hassle, and just easier. Would highly recommend this place to family and friends simply because of the smog tech McClain's fast and great customer service!

The ownership changed a year or 2 ago, and it shows. He is so honest I worry he is undercharging me! Smog was lower than where I usually go, and every other ugh oh I have, he has taken care of me fast. My husband is always skeptical when I find a good deal, and even he has been really pleased! HIGHLY recommend!
