Soapy Joe's Car Wash

I was furious when I got my credit card text informing me that I had been charged $10 when I knew in fact it was only $5.25. I looked up the phone number and left a phone message and when I had not heard back 3-4 days later I googled Soapy Joe's and noticed all the other claims of a $10 charge for lesser usage and I began angry. I called back and initially I was calm but as I looked at the other allegations of $10 charges, I became enraged and started cussing the guy out on his voice mail. When I went to dispute the charge, I saw that the actual amount that I used was the amount charged - I had to call back and eat humble pie; I had been a jerk. My conclusion is, like a lot or vendors of one sort or another, they get a pre-approved total amount of $10 but then adjust it to actual usage. I

A few years ago this was a good car wash but it’s junk now/The touch less drive thru bay sprays but definitely leaves the car dirty. I dried mine after the wash just to smear it with dirt. The wash did absolutely nothing . I paid for the 10.00 wash. Do it yourself starts out at 12.00 and runs out before it’s washed The rain we are expecting wiould have been a better option Don’t waste your money on drive thru or self spray. Big waste . This car wash is a scam. Every time the card readers do not want to work to allow you to wash your car BUT later you will see it charged it anyway without allowing you to wash. Then your cash gets taken and it still doesn’t work and doesn’t allow you the cash return. I lost 25 dollars today when all I needed to do was spray my car down. I’m livid. I called the number that it says to call for a problem and of course no answer or call back after leaving voicemails. I was then told by another customer here that if you ever lose money here that the owner will not call back ever because they do not want to refund you. I will not ever make the mistake of coming back here.

I was in Georgetown Ky on the 11th of Feb 2026 . I had to use a card to spray my car off as it doesn't take cash or coins . Was suppose to be $5 . I looked at my account that night and was charged $10 was looking at my account today and now it's $15 !!!! No answer to phone calls !! Beware of this place !

Soapy Joe's car wash is a nice little place in Georgetown. We were visiting from Ohio to take our 2005 Camry to the toyota plant where she was built and wanted her to look nice before we went to the plant for a tour. Soapy Joe's self serve bays really made her look nice! However, $3.00 to start is a little pricey for a self serve car wash.
