If there were a way to give a big fat ZERO--I would. When I first took my vintage '97 Jaguar XK8 to SCE Auto in late 2021, I entrusted Chris, the owner, with a pristine Concours winner. Unfortunately, what I got back was a filthy mess with numerous documentable scuffs and scratches. (See the attached photos.) Two months and $1,800 later, which I paid, I picked up the car and made it only a few miles from the shop when it stopped running, and it had to be towed back to his shop. Of course, he said it was 'something else' that had gone wrong. From there, it was a downhill ride. For seven months, he made endless excuses about not being able to find the alleged part the car needed. I even contacted several judges and Jaguar owners from JCNA and DVJC to help locate the part. I reached out Thursday re an issue with my BMW using their online request for service. I never got a email reply. I called 5 times on Friday, with voice mails connecting each time. I left 2 voice mails with no response. Poor response, correction - no response and it is now late Friday. Not sure why. Is it an anomaly? Possibly however I will never call again and based on no- service I received would recommend no call for others.

Sure wish I would have read the reviews before tasking this shop to replace my cam shaft adjusters. They had my Mercedes for 8 weeks & 1 day, they LIED constantly, never returned a call, constantly said “Yep, we just about have it buttoned up should have it ready today” after countless personal visits as they would not answer the phone., often times the door was locked up during normal business hours w/ no sign saying “returning….”. . They specifically said they put Mercedes parts, clearly you can see by the Mercedes diagnostics that they did not. There were incorrect bolts used that put a hole in another part, there was so much sealant that it could have caused the engine to blow if started, Chris even said he was “Mercedes Certified” when asked. I was on vacation in Hilton Head and my Volvo's A/C wasn't working correctly. I called on Monday and the owner told me to bring the car by. I explained the situation and right away he said he thought he knew what the problem was. He checked it out and few minutes later said it was the fan and that he could have it fixed the next day, which he did. Very friendly, fast, and at a reasonable price! Highly recommend his shop!

Came to Hilton Head for rest and relaxation... but getting here from VA was rough. My BMW 328xi was throwing codes at me starting about halfway here. I called Chris at SCE Auto Repair, and he was so gracious! He told me to just bring it in, he would run the codes and let me know if it was safe to drive home, since I don't want to be stranded on I-95. Not only did he take care of me as soon as I hit the door, he explained everything well, and gave me pointers on what to do and how to drive, should I have any issues on the homebound trip. I now have what I need to drive, and tell my mechanic when I get home. Can't give enough stars to this company. Thank you, this "tourist" feels very welcome!
