Stone Lodge Gracious Retirement Living

I am really impressed with Stone Lodge, the staff are happy, the residents are happy, and they have a lot of really cool activities for the residents to do. During the Olympics I saw they were playing a game of competitive "tennis" in the main foyer. They have a salon and a gym too. Really excellent place.

My dad has been there about 8 months now and he took a while to warm up to it but he is happier than he's been in years now. He has numerous friends and the food is good it is an independent living facility so they make your meals and the attempt to clean your room but we actually ended up hiring a maid as well because their room service is not good. The staff is extremely friendly and nice we just had my father's hundredth birthday party there and they were extremely accommodating. My dad is really enjoying himself there there is so much to do and so many available things for the occupants to stay busy with. We are glad my father is there and are happy with the choice

Meals leave a lot to be desired. Website boasts of executive chef and fantastic meals but reality is, 2 pieces of wheat bread with a blob of tuna fish in the middle. A breakfast will consist of one piece of french toast and some mandarin oranges. Other dinners include a hot dog, cheeseburger or some other type of sandwich. Sounds like the "executive chef" is a 12 year old. Don't be fooled by what they say the meals are. They will explain that this is due to a current lock down due to COVID however, the meals are coming from the same kitchen and same executive chef. Even when the dining room is open you will be lucky to get a lukewarm meal. With your rent you will receive housekeeping consisting of cleaning and fresh linens, unless of course, the excuse of COVID is at your fingertips

I visit there most days, and it's very cool. Lots of activities, great food, and very comfortable. Residents seem really happy. Clean and modern, too!

At our age, not having to work on keeping a house operating, planning and cooking meals, shopping and all the many details is something we don’t want anymore. Instead being a part of a very interesting lifestyle and being an accepted part of it is outstanding.
