I had an agreement with Jim Brady to purchase a 70 Chevelle where he would perform a manual transmission conversion within 3 weeks of car purchase. I paid him 50% of the conversion cost to gather parts. When the 3 weeks were up, I got nothing but excuses as to why he did not meet our agreement. After waiting a total 4 months, I decided I would have someone else do the conversion. Brady wanted to charge me more than the 50% I already paid him to provide the conversion parts. We all know that parts for a job like this are approx 30% of the total cost. Brady felt it appropriate to try to over charge me for the conversion parts.
