Take 5 Oil Change

I recently had my oil changed here, and immediately after the service I started getting oil pressure warnings under load, followed by a 3000 RPM limp mode. The vehicle had no such issues before the oil change. After inspecting the oil filter housing myself, I discovered that the internal oil filter housing valve/spring assembly appears to be missing. This component is critical for maintaining proper oil pressure under load. Since the service, my vehicle has developed a serious oil pressure issue that did not exist prior to the visit. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of work and lack of attention to detail. An oil change should not result in potential engine damage. I strongly recommend others double-check their vehicle after service.

I didn't get the names of the two young men that helped me but they were very polite, respectful, and professional. I brought in a fleet truck for something small but very important and they were able to handle it in a timely manner and had me back on the road swiftly. Just got an oil change. Service was quick and professionally done. I like their callouts during the oil change. Keeps staff aware of what's going on. The staff was very friendly and courteous. I will definitely be back the re for my next service, especially to use my 50% off coupon. 😊

Well this is my second review on take 5 oil change in North Charleston. Two months ago I visited take 5. In a nut shell they did not do all the things they said. So I brought this up to the manager and he did apologize and said my next oil change will be free. Well my wife went back the other day and they had no record of this free oil change. The little tool that comes on when it's time to change your oil was on so that is why my wife took it to get it done. I spoke to the guy who was working on changing the oil and said that the guy last time failed to reset the oil change so you have at least 2 months before you need to get it done. I said no when I left the first time a couple months ago I noticed the guy did not reset the oil change. So I brought it to his attention and he reset it.

I always change my own oil. However, I needed my company vehicle oil changed. I went here for the quick oil change and not get out of the car. It was quick and painless (15-20 minutes total). The staff was very professional and informative. They offered me bottle water, to clean my windows, and asked if I needed anything. I declined on all offers, but the level of expertise, and professionalism was above and beyond. I definitely will recommend this location to friends and family.
