Texas Transmissions

Stopped in to have my transmission looked because it was slipping. He didn’t look at anything just said it’s not your transmission because you don’t have a lot of miles on your car. But guess what? It was a transmission problem and I got it fixed somewhere else by a competent mechanic!

Customer service not good. Took my transmission to get rebuilt and was told it wasn’t rebuildable. Was given the option to buy a brand new Jasper for $3165 or if I took a good core he would rebuild that one for $2000. He said he probably had a good core to rebuild and would call me when he found it. Never called. Stopped by and asked about it and he said he was sorry he had forgotten to look for it. He said I’ll write it down to remind himself. Two weeks later and never heard from him so had to go elsewhere

They went the extra mile for me, or 2 miles actually, it's usually not a good day when your clutch goes out, mine did on my 1991 f150 on a Friday afternoon about 3 o'clock in the middle of June, when AAA was 2 hours out, I called Texas Transmission explained my situation and since I was only about 2 miles away, the owner of the shop showed up only minutes after we got off the phone with a chain and a smile. He towed me to his shop and they had a empty bay, they had me back on the road before AAA could even get close. My clutch job was faster than a oil change at Walmart. Im glad I made that call, I will always recommend them to whoever asks , thanks for the great service and helping me out of a jam without any hesitation, saved my weekend, I owe you still, your shop and mechanic

I can't give enough praise for Chance. I was charged $2900 by a local "mechanic" in labor and added storage fees to end up with a botched job on a Jeep clutch and bearing replacement. Chance pulled the transmission and fixed the botched job for $750. That is VERY reasonable. And he knows what he's doing. I only wish he did other repairs. But I will definitely go to the mechanic he recommends.

Chance has a great service-based attitude and charged me very little to bench test my junk yard transmission before I went through all the work of installing it into my truck. Most shops would rather not hassle with the little service type requests like that and would rather spend their time rebuilding but he clearly wants to earn a customer for life! I would absolutely recommend him to family and friends!
